May 19, 2013 letter from Fr John Connor, LC to Tristate Regnum Christi members

Discover, live and love your mission! The Legionaries of Christ and Regnum Christi Movement are convinced that everyone has a mission in life. As a religious congregation and movement of apostolate within the Catholic Church, we believe that God creates each person with a mission in mind. Helping people to discover their mission, then giving them the practical tools to live their mission, and the depth of spirituality to continually love the mission they have been given, that’s our mission. We offer formation programs for boys, girls, young men and young women. We offer spiritual retreats, bible studies, and marriage renewal retreats for adults. We offer services and programs to local parishes to help them in their mission to spread the faith and nourish the souls of parishioners of all ages. Join us in our mission, click on events and see all the activities planned for your area; you too can discover, live and love your mission!

by Blessed John Henry Newman
God has created me to do him some definite service. He has committed some work to me which He has not committed to another. I have my mission - I may never know it in this life, but I shall be told it in the next.
I am a link in a chain, a bond of connection between persons. He has not created me for naught. I shall do good. I shall do His work. I shall be an angel of peace, a preacher of truth in my own place while not intending it - if I do but keep His commandments.
Therefore I will trust in Him. Whatever, wherever I am. I can never be thrown away. If I am in sickness, my sickness may serve Him; in confusion, my confusion may serve Him; if I am in sorrow, my sorrow may serve Him. He does nothing in vain. He knows what He is about. He may take away my friends. He may throw me among strangers. He may make me feel desolate, make my spirits sink, hide my future from me - still He knows what he is about.
